TraceBIM was conceived, designed and built end-to-end by Farhad Shariatzadeh — one of the rare practitioners who has worked professionally on both sides of the problem it solves. He holds a Master of Architecture and spent five years as a BIM modeler producing construction document sets, living daily with the gap between an architect's redlines and the finished model — and with the exacting standards a professional drawing set has to meet.
He also holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and spent six years as a backend software engineer building production systems at Oracle and Doosan GridTech — enterprise platforms and power-grid software where correctness and reliability are non-negotiable. TraceBIM is the synthesis of those two careers: every feature is specified by someone who has produced drawing sets for a living, and engineered by someone who has shipped software that enterprises and utilities depend on.
The entire platform — the parametric geometry engine, the reactive dependency graph, the drawing renderer and the cloud infrastructure — is his sole-author work, built by constantly swapping between the architect's hat and the engineer's. That dual fluency is TraceBIM's foundation, and its promise: software that understands drawings the way an architect does, built to the standard an engineer demands.
